This is where I envisioned him playing and where I think he can use the best elements of his play. Not having him sitting in front of the back 3/4 and having him run half the length of the pitch to produce, then watch him struggle to recover.

I don’t see it consistently enough unfortunately. Ward, Elder and Sibley can all deliver a decent dead ball, so I struggle to see justification for him starting.

They’re both diagonally in front and watching the ball’s path towards the net. Not sure how you can say with certainty that they wouldn’t have been able to see any contact? Unusual to appeal for a hand you haven’t see. But the goal stood, so UTR!.

Spent the whole half waving his leg at the ball in an effort to try and kid people he very nearly got to the tackle. With Ward’s delivery I’m struggling to see what he has to offer in this side/shape.
