SouthernExcile
We definitely need to work the loan system better than we do. When you think around the league from last season there were some really good examples of clubs that worked loans really well. Chris Wood at Birmingham and Bristol City, McManaman at Blackpool from Wigan, Kusack, Kightly and Kachaniklkc at Watford, Guidioura, Cunningham etc at Forest, Kane at Millwall. Ambitious
Just been posted, Watford have made 5 season long loans today and will be interesting to see how they get on.. Almen Abdi - a 25 year old swiss international midfielder from Udinese - a lot of apps for udinese in the top division 32 last season, scored against celtic in the europa league. Matej Vydra - a 20 year old czech under 21 international striker from Udinese - not so many apps, was on loan at club brugge last season didn't play much. Steve Leo Belek - a 19 year old cameroon striker - was on loan at Athens last season scored 6 in 21 (not bad) looks a powerhouse! Daniel Pudil - a 26 year old from Granada - played 100+ times for racing genk signed a 5 and a half year deal at Granada and then was loaned out straight away to Cesena and now Watford (strange) Ikechi Anya - A 24 year old Striker from Granada - former Northampton, Wycombe and Oxford player, seemed to have more success in spain with Celta Vigo (former Glenn Hoddle Acad) no impressive record of goals. also the permanent signings of Hall and Alumina - bizarre, really bizarre will be interesting to see what happens! SouthernExcile
How many loans can play at once? Five I think but these want count for Watford as they are all from other countries, something to do with FIFA rules and they only count domestic loans. NIce to see Watfords renowned youth policy being continued by the new guy. I reckon that's at least 15 grand a week that could be going on developing youngsters from the british isles.
