i'd say he fits the bill with clough..... he looks like he's got a little bit of flair and potential and weve already got ward for the same position... could be a good impact player.... could be the next KEVIN HARPER. if we manage a few 200- 300k signings that might possibly pay off.... and then try and get a jordan rhodes or someone... we could push on till 6th...reckon there must be a fair few freebees about this summer

Duo fail in Carayol bids

Sky Sports understands Bristol Rovers have rejected bids from Middlesbrough and Barnsley for winger Mustapha Carayol.

Carayol has impressed for Rovers this season since his move from Lincoln last summer and certainly has a number of admirers higher up the football pyramid.

Barnsley are long-term admirers of Carayol and had a bid for the 22-year-old rejected in the January transfer window, but they are thought to have rekindled their interest.

Middlesbrough have also expressed an interest in the winger, with Boro boss Tony Mowbray keen to bolster his attacking options for next season.

Rovers are keen to keep Carayol and they are in talks with the wide man about a new deal to try and fend off the interest in the player.

I'm not excited.

Doesn't sound bad but another average player according to most even if we can get him for a snip. But is this really what we've been lowered to; being expected to get excited about a bristol rovers player!
