February 27, 201213 yr Bet we were like brighton when we had Seth .... Oh how we would love a new Seth Johnson
February 27, 201213 yr There used to be a school of thought that believed that getting cards was a mark of the defence getting stuck in and doing well. Wonder how many league champions have ever won the fair play award. My guess is some fool will believe that this means the board is achieving perfection and that it makes the failures as far as results go are completely justified.
February 27, 201213 yr Anyone bothered to look where our players are in goals and assists? Nobody in top 25 for goals and only Davies in the top 25 assists. At least we're good in the discipline department. We'll go down figh.......oh wait no, no we won't.
February 27, 201213 yr It was actually a Reading fan who started this thread before anyone flips at him.

February 27, 201213 yr We have so many small players that refs would be embarrassed to give us cards for roughing up players a foot taller.
February 27, 201213 yr I like that we've got such a great disciplinary record. I like a disciplined club that respects the game and the opposition in terms of fair play.
February 27, 201213 yr Our lot normally get a detention after next day's school. Or there put on the naught step
February 28, 201213 yr Mr Clough got rid of Albrechtsen (ex-WBA centre-half) a couple of years back, suggesting that he was a softie and citing that he hadn't incurred a booking in x number of games, in a past season in which the defence was also getting pressurised and carved up. With our recruitment based on low wage-cost parameters and hence restricted availability, we're not acquiring that needed sprinkling of toughnuts who can handle themselves. For instance, Tom Carroll is a 'touch' player and needs a 'tough' player alongside him, but little Tom (as a loanee here mainly for Spurs' benefit) is probably irrelevant to our long-term team-building anyway. Most teams can handle what we can thow at them physically but it seldom works the other way around 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' /> As per the Snickers' advert: "Get some nuts!!"
February 28, 201213 yr Author Actually, incorporating FAIR PLAY in some way might be more postive than some might think - this sounds weird but if we had, say, every team starting the season on 10 points and then one point less for each ten yellow cards or each three red cards, it would radically change the way in which the more cynical/aggressive/plain stupid sides think!

Bored of this topic now pal. Hows Cwyka doing, has he been playing much??
February 29, 201213 yr Author Cywka – very much liked by Royals fans, and seems to be incorporated well into first team squad even if he hasn’t played 90 mins yet (the team is going great guns, 10 victories in 12 games, so for anyone entering starting XI is going to be difficult just for moment). But here’s some news: 25 Feb - http://www.readingfc...2622306,00.html 17 Feb - http://www.readingfc...2612580,00.html 28 Jan - http://www.readingfc...2589824,00.html RFC Profiles on OS - http://www.readingfc...6~41110,00.html
