Thing is, through no fault of his own, with his injuries, we've had to get cover for him, which leaves him left behind when he's ready, so he struggles to get in the team. It's just the way it is. We had to carry on without him.

I love these 2 + 2 threads because if the person posting it actuall reread their post before posting they they would soon realise its not worth posting lol. Davies has a serious head injury, can't walk through a metal detector now with out setting it off, not played competive football since October, not headed a ball in anger until the reserve game etc but of course he writes it on Twitter as it is an alledged 'Cywka' situation. I would be more concerned if he walked into the team.

The other side of that, Callum Ball in number of starts has a pretty much same scoring ratio as Davies, Robinson top goal scorer, Tyson is fully fit and we saw against Leeds, Barnsley and West Ham he adds a different dimension to the team then the other strikers.

But the 2+2=Anything but 4 will see the conspiracy. Have to say though love reading the comments.

Just putting 2 and 2 together here and coming up with 5, but Steve Davies wrote on his twitter account 'Same ****' and today Clough has come out and said that the other strikers are doing 'well' and that Steve Davies has got to show more in the reserve games to show he's ready to come back in.

I found this a bit odd considering he was our leading scorer before he got injured wit a goal every two games, and scored some crackers against Birmingham and Watford.

Possibly another Cywka situation.

Perhaps Davies has more going on in his life than just football? Yano, a family and a social life an all that?

Looks to me more like 2 + 2 = 69.

Are you really that bored to post this?

I wouldnt trash this idea.

Davies was due on the bench a while ago still doesnt get close even with injuries to Robinson and Tyson and Noble was cup tied. Plus Calum Ball is due a rest according to Clough.

Maguire is on the naughty step , is Steve Davies on it too?

NO just been injured quite badly and it is a case of gently bringing him in. Yes been given the all clear by specialist but the mental element for Davies will be there and also has to show he is better than the current team who apart for the 45mins against Barnsley since the New Year have done quite well. He has to prove it.

Lets be honest the insurance company has probably paid most of his wages since he has been here, not sure how it works exactly but isn't that the gist of it?

Doubt it,I suspect the insurance just covers career ending injuries, otherwise the premiums would be sky high.

It seems that Steve Davies has now fallen behind Conor Doyle in the pecking order.

I'm sure that there is more to this than just a fitness thing. I have a feeling that contract negotiations are playing their part - either the club are 'punishing' him for not signing one or (more likely) Davies is not putting in the effort because he's not being offered an extension.
