Despite the fact they are in superb buildings (Standing Order is brilliant), i much prefer the old pubs like Dolphin, Nep, Widows, Brunnie etc, at least you know your in a pub and not a franchise. The one in Utch is a 400 year old building that looks great from the outside. There's one in Stafford that used to be a cinema and its ok. as a building, but they've got no soul. trooper Posted January 29, 2012 Share Posted January 29, 2012 But off topic but I love the Howard in sheffield, nice welcoming boozer, Had a run in with couple of blokes claiming to be in the bbc after we beat Sheffield united last season, all we did was walk out the pub n they followed us....
