Also bear in mind that they went ***** before they split up anyway - Ten Storey Love Song was surely not by the same band as I am the Resurrection etc Although they never got quite as ***** as The Seahorses!!! Considering going up to stand on the hill which should have a quality atmosphere in itself for the Manc weekend, plus hopefully the rumoured world tour dates will come to fruition and i'll go see them in Barcelona/Madrid for me birthday weekend in July. Henry Krinkle - if anything was going to destroy the memory, surely Reading '96 would have? In anycase it was never just about Browns singing. Reni's drumming, Squire's guitaring, and Mani's bassing would make any X factor wannabe gargling **** sound good. As for a favourite, I can't pick one, pretty much all of their B sides and demo's are better than anything in the current top 40, plus the whole of their debut album is immense. Second Coming would have been considered the best album for 95% of other bands, and I think it's stood the test of the last 15 years pretty darn well. If I had to choose just one, i'd go for I am the Resurrection (purely for that outro), closely followed by Waterfall and the original version of Where Angels Play. Really, don't worry about it Joe, I cannot think of many places I would least like to be than stood in a field with the rain running down my neck with 70,000 odd skanky Mancs all being "mad for it".....wait until they announce their tour, there will be millions of better places to go and watch them. The sound at Heaton Park will be awful too....i went to Spike Island....and wow...that was terrible...
