Kilbane dropped into the centre against Shrewsbury didn't he? Jones is a left back, who covered at CB during pre-season when no-one was fit.

Thus setting the precedent.

Still think the more likely option would be moving Brayford inside.

Kilbane moving into the centre against Shrewsbury was to stop him getting raped by Ainsworth.

We had no problems with CB's during pre-season.

Burton Albion:

2nd half: O'Brien-Leacock

Macclesfield

O'Brien (Anderson'58) - Jones

Morecambe

Crewe

Riggott (O'Brien '46) - Anderson

Exeter City

Anderson - Shackell (O'Brien '46)

Aston Villa

O'Brien - Shackell (Anderson '46)

Now down to one fully fit CB, just O'Brien. Shackell is a doubt and the only other fit CB is loaned out.

Just wondering who will start at the weekend. Who'll partner O'Brien? An unfit Shackell, Brayford, Kilbane, or a youth player?

Derby County boss Nigel Clough is confident Jason Shackell will be fit to face Watford on Saturday.

Watford will do the same as Shrewsbury. Run down the wing and cross it. Brayford isn't tall enough to challenge 6ft 3 strikers, nor is he strong enough so useless playing him there. It'll be Kilbane CB.

At least that would prevent him from being a liability at LB again.

Although from the sounds of it Shackell will be fit anyway.
