sage
Think Norwich have a smaller wage bill. We have players on our wage bill who cost more than they're worth. Savage, bywater, Leacock, Pearson and maybe Green.
deflepps
Quick update...as it stands - Sheffield United, Preston and Scunny relegated.
mcsilks
really annoying. interesting when u look at their side and ours - and how much they have spent on players and their wage levels compared to us..... not much difference and wage bill less.......... What a great club Norwich City are. Very well supported, very good owners and a great example to all that relegation to the third tier can actually be a blessing. Their owner actually had an 8 year plan to get back to te Premiership so they're on track to beat that by some 6 years.

Alph
Lambert is a very good manager. I reckon he's the only difference between us and norwich

samtheram83
it'll be interesting to see what our wage bill is like by the start of the season. if it true that 6 will come in plus ward, robinson and fielding some must leave. we might end up with a very similar one to norwich and who knows a better squad! a draw from this today would be glory now. U RAMS!

Football is a business and are you trying to suggest that a business doesn't have a plan for more than the one year?! Ridiculous.

CapeTownRams
I suppose we should be looking to get rid of Croft, Martin, Bywater, Leacock, Sav going we know... quite a bit in wages there. But CAN we get rid. Glick isnt an Adam Pearson and some of these may well need pay-offs. It really has been a massive waste of much needed resources getting Martin and (particularly) Croft. Other big question mark is Varney.... we need someone to take him off our hands.

mcsilks
we need someone to take him off our hands. or get him back hungry and eager in a Derby shirt. Surely he's proved even his biggest doubters that he could do a job for us.
Alph
Now you are being silly. Football is a business and are you trying to suggest that a business doesn't have a plan for more than the one year?! Ridiculous. Football stops being a business at 3pm on a Saturday. Billy Davies promotion is proof that any plan can be destroyed. How would you work that into a 6 year to return to the pl? Football is a business and are you trying to suggest that a business doesn't have a plan for more than the one year?! Ridiculous. A business involved with sport is a tad different to a business elsewhere. My humble opinion. Sport introduces a few more factors. You're not going to have your Managing Director off for a few weeks because hes got a calf strain... You can have a financial plan, agree fully on that but when you're factoring in promotions and relegations into that business plan, that is where it gets contentious. All the plans we've had in the last few years have gone tits up.
