Alph
Anyone watching tonights game expect to hear the usual rubbish. Milan's team are past it. - Nope, their not. Same old media stuff. Look at their ages. Milan will struggle with Spurs pace - Only as much as anyone. Milan aren't slow despite what is repeated every single bloody year when their on the box. Spurs are weakened through injury - No mention that Nesta has been rushed back into defence before he's fit. Boateng, Pirlo and Bonera. Inzaghi and Zambrotta ALL OUT Nesta will struggle with any pace.- Again, only as much as a player like Puyol. He's played against plenty of pace over the years. Him and Maldini are/have been too intelligent to get caught out. Much better than Rio Ferdinand and Terry. Ibrahimovic to hide in big games - Like any England star? He's a bit greedy but other than that he's far more reliable than Rooney for Man Utd and England. You'll hear it all tonight. And you'll hear it twice as much if ITV are showing the second leg. Townsend always spouts the same old rubbish about Milan's age and pace problems (myth). Wait until Abate (24) flies past Assou-Ekotto. Same old media. Bris Vegas
Theres an article on the BBC about Milan, where the journalist admits that he got it wrong, and infact Milan boast a fairley pacey team and a strike-force that 99% of teams accross Europe can only dream of. Ibra-Robinho-Alex Pato-Cassano has plenty of potential. Good stat about Ibra, he's tarnished as a bottler, when infact in his last 7 consecutive seasons with Ajax,Juve, Inter, Barca and now Milan he's always won the league. Milan have experience players in Seedorf, Gattuso, Pirlo, Nesta, Inzaghi but this is no different to Utd with Neville, Scholes, Giggs, Owen, VDS etc. Don't see the Media jumping all over Utd. Also Milan have contested more CL finals the past decade than any other team.. And won it twice. WorksopRam
If both teams take the game head-on, i think Milan will be too potent in attack for Spurs. Then Spurs will win the return leg. CumbrianRam
Milan to win 3-1. No surprise to see the British media sticking to their stereotypes. Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/5612-milan-vs-spurs/#findComment-136127 Share on other sites
EdinburghRam
apparently Rafael van der Vaart, Peter Crouch, Niko Kranjcar and Aaron Lennon all start for Spurs, far too attacking for my liking Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/5612-milan-vs-spurs/#findComment-136128 Share on other sites

james_ram
Milan to win. They have more quality than Spurs in midfield plus they are all 'wiseheads' who've been there done that so to speak. I don't know why they don't play Pato though, he's an outstanding player, still young and if he was at a team like Barca or Arsenal could become world-class in a season or two. Robinho & Ibrahimovic can be hit and miss but there is no doubting their abilities. Milan to win 2-0. Hope Merkel gets on. Looks like one to watch for the future. If Pato doesn't get out of Ibrahimovics shadow people are thinking he might be moved on in the summer. Wonder if he'll head to Barcelona?? Looking at Spurs team it's very attacking. Would of thought they'd want to keep it tighter. While Milan look a bit defensive? Silva, Yepes AND Nesta? Watch out for Abate. Assou-Ekotto to get turned inside out! Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/5612-milan-vs-spurs/#findComment-136134 Share on other sites

Alph
Stream anyone? http://www.p2pfire.com/ Not the best but it stays online for more than 5. Milan so defensive. Flamini, Nesta, Silva, Yepes, Gattuso..... Their at home man!! Get Merkel on. Even the bench has 4 defenders! Got a fair few injuries though. Boateng has been good for them. Crouch winning a lot of high balls. Spurs will need to make more of them than the have. Plan B
Prefer Spurs to win as they are an English team but I love the fact that when Brazil played at PP we saw Thiago Silva and Pato. Probably the best players I've seen live. Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/5612-milan-vs-spurs/#findComment-136143 Share on other sites
