Points needed for automatic promotion

We are currently only 2 points away from achieving 2 points per game/90 points total. 90 being the average points over the last 7 years to achieve second place. Bolton in second place are currently plus 1 to that line of 2 per game. Current points per game for the season so far would suggest us making 87 points...

However, we have not seen much in the way of our crucial players going injured at the top of their form, or suspensions at critical times. It's all to play for but I personally think we are better placed this time, hitting good form earlier, and possibly a bit more depth in certain areas of the squad. Wilson and Ward are looking very good, as is JJ, with NML being the influence we know he can be. Good player management and getting the most out of squad players is going to be critical.

Also ins and maybe outs in January will be important. Hope we can keep Bird and Cashin and Nyambe and he comes back from AFCON injury free and fighting fit, and we see more of Elder, and we can extend JJ, to actually get more out of him. As for new players, lets see what happens!

That's easy!

Suppose there are 3 teams going for 2 places, all with the same chance. Each has a 2 in 3 chance, which is better than 50/50 and so is odds on.

That's how the bookies stay in business and make money. 

If they were to give odds on the toss of a coin, you'd only get odds-on for both heads and tails.
