SFox1993
Hi everyone , I usually park at Alvaston Park and walk down , with the recent rainfall im wondering if anyone knows if that route would still be possible (next to a canal) or if id be better off parking elsewhere and if so , where would be best ? WystonRam
Eastgate is open inbound from Pentagon to Derby – the underpass remains closed. Darwin Loop and St Alkmunds Way to Eastgate outbound is open. A52 inbound now open, running one lane from Wyvern sliproad. A52 outbound towards Nottingham, one lane open. Pentagon Island is open. Derwent Street underpass is now open. Phoenix Street underpass is now open. Meadow Road around Darwin car park remains closed due to flooding. Chequers Road is closed past John Pye Auctions due to flooding. Markeaton Lane is now open. Sowter Road is open. SFox1993

This may sound like a daft question but, when they say "Chequers Road past John Pye auctions" does anyone know in which direction they mean by "past"? I'm guessing it's clear between John Pye and Costco but not in the other direction.

This is the riverside path by Millennium Way on Saturday. Tamworthram

I'd guess they mean it's open from Pentagon to John Pye, as technically there's no publicly accessible through road from the other end (without using Costco's car park, or being on a bus, taxi, or push bike!) Take a look at my pic from the Costco rear gates (Looking towards The Pentagon direction) on page 4 of the Exeter matchday thread. Note there are no cones and/or closure signage, at least from the Costco end. That was from 4pm yesterday btw. Tamworthram
