If Anya or any other player in a similar situation acts professionally and is available if called upon then where's the problem? I'd do exactly the same. It's a job ultimately and the more money he has in the bank when he has to call it a day the more comfortable the rest of his life will be.

I never rated anya but i don't think there's really much difference between him and duane holmes. I think he could play the midfield role just as well, but Anya is 31 in a few days time, whereas holmes is 24.  

Whoever goes out, goes out. I'm more interested in who comes in. I'm itching for us to keep on building a young team.

Footballers have short careers. 20k a week to sit in the reserves, helping out the u23s sounds like a good deal to me. Where or who else would offer that money? It’s the clubs fault. In the real world we’d all do the same if this was our career.
