Spent two lovely weeks travelling Europe. Observations i can think of:

1. I loved it

2. Driving is so much easier than in uk

3. Diesel is loads cheaper than unleaded, why is it more in uk?

4. Swiss people are the friendliest

5. Lots of mainland Europeans smoke

6. I love italy

7. Total lack of roadside rubbish, the uk is a shithole at times

8. Italians are the worst drivers, seriously at least keep some gap.

9. Japanese love Switzerland

10. A family of Japanese people eating is seriously like a pack of wild animals eating, its the culture apparently to show appreciation of food.

11. Americans think they are superior

12. Only uk people understand the concept of queuing

13. I love brugge

Good random observations mate.

I always find driving in Sheffield somewhere between Mad Max and Death Race so it’s probably not hard to improve on that one.

And most places in the Northern powerhouse cannot afford to pick litter or cut verges etc etc,

I didn’t know that about Japanese people though,I’ll keep my eyes peeled at Steak night.

Hooe you had a good time and are well?

Im good,  read your update hope you are ok.

Redundancy was a blessing,  got a new job which i love. Although i have a few tears now and then for putting myself through the last one. Mental health helps physical health i reckon.

True. I was told by someone who had lived in Tokyo, that the more noise the Japanese make while eating, shows how much  they are enjoying their meal.

Actually lots more than I thought there would be, especially in Germany. However they did not usually cause any hold ups like they do here, although clearly there isnt the same amount of traffic on the roads.

The only thing that differs from my experience in that list is that the Swiss are friendly.

Of course probably the same as anywhere, depends on those you meet and location. Just our experience. To be fair everywhere we went people were friendly though.

Belgium will be great when it's finished. Seriously, I have not seen so much construction going on since the years of the Celtic Tiger in Dublin. It seems that they still have an economy.

People are people wherever they come from ,only two sorts in my book givers and takers and I hate takers with a vengeance.
