WharfedaleRam
Here in Yorkshire Dales (Craven), we have fortnightly collections of general waste plus re-cycling (paper, cans, plastics & glass) and fortnightly garden refuse collections, for which we pay c£25 per year (collections start in March and end in November. At least we don'y have plastic bags being blown about or broken open by passing sheep!
JoetheRam
Alternate weeks for black bin and garden waste/recycling. Probably only put either out once a month, maybe more often in summer to keep the insects away. Don't know how people can fill a black bin in a week unless there's at least 7 of you in a house. dcfc the 1 4me
We're in sawley under Erewash which is pretty good after reading what happens in other areas. We get general waste collected fortnightly in a black bin, then recycling and gardening waste also fortnightly on the alternate weeks. The recycling is done in green bags or you can buy a blue bin if you want to but green bags are free. The brown garden waste bin collections stop at the end of November but you can then use it for your recycling over winter so that's what we do. You can have as many green bags as you like, just pick them up from the town hall in long eaton which we do when they get a bit tatty. Th e bin men don't get to us till dinner time so don't even have to rush to get them out either
Wolfie
Fortnightly for general waste. Fortnightly for recycling - everything except glass, for some reason, which we collect seperately and take to the bottle bank - at which point the "empties guilt" sets in.... We also pay £30 a year extra for a garden waste bin, which is fortnightly March to November and monthly Dec-Feb
