This account from Kris is a bizarre contradiction of the one we were told at the time. Is he trying to sell a book? A third of a Barker type fee was something substantial back then. I remember the negotiations dragging on and on. I also remember NC sounding keen and hopeful but KC always sounding very noncommittal on RD. Maybe NC/TG eventually decided to get something for him while still under contract. At the time I got the impression he wasn’t ever going to re-sign with us and that he was always Celtic bound. CWC1983
He's moved into the media in Scotland. I think he summarises for Radio Scotland and has a gig on either BT sport or Sky. In a quick 60 sec interview he rates the strike v Man Utd as his best goal.
