Don't know. I saw the spending of the big three who came down at the end of the season and wondered how we could compete with that, then realised it was from when they were in the Prem. McClaren will have been responsible for much of that Newcastle spend! Burnley and Middlesbrough both spent more than us on fees last season but Hull slightly less, so I suppose that actually puts us in 5th. It's a table I'd like to be bottom of!
