Bessie1 Posted March 29, 2017 Share Posted March 29, 2017 Fantastic photo exhibition at Derby Museum on at the moment of Derby (the city, not FC) through the ages. Includes a life-size photo of Steve Bloomer and great photo of the 1946 FA Cup winning side. Jeez the physical presence of those players - I reckon only Bradley in our current squad could survive a tackle from any one of them. Photo has Jack Stamps astride the cup. DCFC "born and breds" will know these facts already, but for other half-fan imports like me, the exhibition notes..... Bloomer moved to Germany in 2014 to take up coaching. He spent the next 4 years in a German prison camp where he formed a football league. In addition to scoring 2 goals for Derby in the Cup final, Stamps also managed to burst the ball towards the end of the game. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
