Summer Transfer Suggestion Thread

Not what the players have been saying...

really. We'll see.

the ignoring of albentosa during the half-time warm up, the general piissed off demeanor of bryson, the way keogh is rattled, jamie ward not happy to be overlooked in favour of loanees, is buxton happy?

Defence:  Andre Wisdom, Tommy Smith (LCB), Lewis Dunk

Midfield: Gary Gardner, Jem Karacan, Tom Ince

Attack: Bent

If Villa are interested in Hendrick, then I'd let him go for  £4-5 million + Gardner on a permanent deal. With that we'd be set up to buy Ince and Smith.

With Karacan and Bent running out of contract this summer, they'd both be available on a free for negotiated wages and would be great additions.

Andre Wisdom on a Permanent or a loan to a permanent, please. Dunk has played well in a weak Brighton side. We'd need another striker and a new winger too. Grant could go either way, he'll be unbeatable or a liability, we'll see!

4 poor games does not equate to a keeper being a liability!

You can't build a defence with that in goal.

Ward has left, Keogh has already declared a desire to do better next year, Bryson will probably leave due to lack of game time and Albentosa will be first choice CB next year. Sorted

He was part of the team that didn't concede in 6 and a half games...

I genuinely can't see how you're overlooking all his moments of brilliance just because of a few mistakes when the rest of the team was massively under performing anyway. Earlier in the season, he was pulling off excellent saves every game; the importance of these saves often won us games.

He's a top quality goalkeeper and I can't think of anyone better that we could get within our budget

You forgot buxton.

this team rolled over v reading. The team spirit looks totally absent.

Absence of confidence does not necessarily equate to lack of team spirit. It's easy to play when morale is high and more 50/50s go your way but when you're in desperate form like we were, it doesn;t often work out.

We'll dust ourselves off and go again next season.

As for Buxton, that's pure speculation so no-one's quite sure what's going on with him.

Well go on, name someone you would rather have in net that is realistic...

So Bogdan who is being linked with Liverpool and Bundesliga clubs is a realistic option? And you'd choose the keeper for the team who's conceded the 5th most in the Championship this season over the keeper who has the most clean sheets of any Championship keeper over the past 2 seasons, all because of a few mistakes?

Think your 3rd party missed the end of the sentence "...for the U21s again"

I don't understand this.

Roos wasn't trusted to start when Grant was injured. If Mac/Steele don't trust him to start for a couple of games around 6 months ago, why would they know put him ahead of Grant in the GK hierarchy and make him No 1 for next season?

The same player that almost signed for Liverpool at the time we signed him. At the time of Grants injury he had only started one cup game, from speaking to him the lads got ambition to play every week and why shouldnt he at that age. We ll have to remember this thread come start of the season.
