Stive Pesley
I'm still voting Lib Dem but the Tories first time buyer ISA looks very tasty (Lets face it, they'll win again).
Wolfie
Does it? It looks like brewing up for yet another house price bubble, as it won't stop prices going up, but will leave people even less likely to be able to afford the monthly mortgage

Wolfie
I'm one of the lucky few that can buy a house without any government help with the help to buy scheme - but this new ISA literally gives me free money! I'd be silly not to do it.
Stive Pesley
Maybe but on a similar moral level to tax avoidance though.

Wolfie
You're joking right?! You're telling me you don't have an ISA or wouldn't consider one? How about your pension in which you get Tax Relief from?!
GeneralRam
Everyone gets pension tax relief - you don't have to apply for it. I have an offset mortgage so don't have any savings accounts, as such.Tax avoidance is using the system in a way it wasn't designed for, for financial gain. That's what you're talking about and, by the way, it isn't free money. it's taxpayer's money and I would rather it went to someone who needed it or towards education or NHS.
