wasn't Yugoslavia disbanded before the European Cup was rebranded to the CL?

Yugoslavia was still a nation at the 1998 World Cup. So there are a few.

Also, sorry I should have mentioned but I forgot, the player from Z is before the Champions League rebrand but was a popular player in England during the 80s.

Would JS Park for Korea count?

Afraid not buddy. K is going to be the most difficult I'm sure.

It's not Grobbelaar is it? I know he played for Zimbabwe.

I'd say that jelly legs Grobelaar has to be the Zimbabwe one. I think there's a player from Kygyrystan or something maybe.

Yugoslavia will probably be the striker who was at Red Star Belgrade, but I cannot think of his name, unless it was Davor Suker or Alen Boksic.

Very good on Gobbelaar - won it with Liverpool.

Afriad not Mostyn, both were Croatian nationals and it wasn't with Red Star Belgrade (though many have won the Cl before the rebrand). Think around the 1998 World Cup - Who was the Yugoslavian star performer?
