The veteran, who has been unsuccessful in his return to the Walkers Stadium after a spell away from the club with Blackburn, will stay at Pride Park until January. Recent signings Martyn Waghorn, Paul Gallagher and Yann Kermorgant have all leapfrogged Dickov in the pecking order, prompting the Scot to ask for a temporary move away in search of first-team action. Dickov will be unavailable for games against his parent club. Day Posted August 27, 2009 Author Share Posted August 27, 2009 That was 2 seasons ago he was on loan at Blackpool, last season managed 2 goals in 20 league games in League 1 for Leicester. Dickov, 36, is in his second spell with the Foxes but has found his first-team chances limited so far this season. Derby boss Nigel Clough is looking to bring in cover up front and Dickov is expected to join the Rams until January. The former Scottish international could be signed in time to feature against Nottingham Forest this weekend. I have genuinely left a game as soon as Dickov has come off the bench for LCFC. He will get booked asap for some stupid foul, basicly kicking an opposing player because he is well past it. He was a Mandaric signing, on a lot of £££££ at LCFC and every LCFC supporter is very very glad to see him gone until January. Sorry Dave. It says it all when you loan out Varney and loan in Dickov no? It is madness. Dickov (I will be kind) struggled in League 1, he has no pace, actually the only effect he has had on a game is to get booked of generally piss off the opposition. He had an operation at the back end of last season and he just seems completely lost on a football pitch now. I wish I had something positive to say about this deal for Derby...... sorry.
