Where we going to finish?

Forever Rams

Recommended Posts

With our injuries to key players (Thorne, Eustace, and possibly Hughes) Perhaps it is time to try something slightly different?

I also get annoyed with players being played on their unatural foot on the wings as it leads to moves breaking down and not being punished. (Russell left footed playing right wing and Ward\Ibe right footed playing on the left wing.

Maybe we could use a back three with wing backs and give Russell a free role to roam more centrally and get closer to Martin.

I feel we have good options from the bench to cover various positions and change approach if required.

Play offs.

We keep blowing the opportunities to establish ourselves in the top two.

This team is just too error prone.

Too many wembley type self inflicted wounds.

after yesterdays  and coincidently  Wigan  , and Brentford ( a) 2nd half  performance   ....   a mid table finish ...    but to flip the coin   the performances against  Wolves  , Brighton   Blackburn ( a )  Ipswich  ( a )  ...   cant see why we shouldn't finish in top 2  ...   still  20  games to go

Top, If Thorne reaches the levels of last season.

Won 8 of the last 11 when he was in the side last season, and I believe he could have a similar impact this season.

I know it's odd to depend on one player, but that CDM role is just so important to our system, and he's the best at the club by some considerable distance

Unfair to expect too much of thorne this season.

Last season he had had a spell at watford to get rid of the cobwebs before he came to us.

Brighton - we stopped playing after 20 minutes.

Same as yesterday but we stopped 25 minutes earlier.

This. We don't have the consistency to finish in the top 2. We will have to settle for play offs. And after last trip to Wembley I wouldn't be confident of promotion. Play offs is a lottery. Anyone can win it.

After that, the consequences of not going up would be disastrous.

I make you right here.. We need to make top two or the play offs will fook us up.

Ipswich, Norwich and Boro all as possibilities in there and all bogey teams for us.

That's the elephant in the room. What happens if we don't go up. And rightly none of us want to think about it.

Then we have to start again. We won't keep some of the squad and that could take a couple of seasons to replace and get settled.

Another season in this league, same old grounds and teams... Zzzzzz.

Come on Derby... Don't **** this up.

Can anyone really justify us finishing in the Top 2 after yesterday's performance

How come one performance is more important than the 25 that can before it?

Based on your argument, you could justify us finishing top two before yesterday. One very poor performance doesn't kill us off.

Exactly this.

I fear McClaren would go.

Lose Hughes definitely, maybe also Martin, Hendrick, Bryson, Keogh etc.

Then we have to rebuild and cycle starts all over again.

That why we have to aim for automatic promotion. We won't can't risk the play offs.

Leeds away Wigan at home playing against a Forest side at home that hadn't won in so many games we lack the quality to merit a top 2 place
