Have we got the right balance between youth and experience?

Last year we had the squad with the youngest average age in the Championship at just over 23 years. Is this too young a squad to win the Championship and to form the basis of a side that can survive in the Premiership if we get promoted? I am beginning to think that we need a couple more old heads who have played in the Premiership. In the Play Off final, QPR players had played a combined total of about 2000 games,.whilst  our total was 19, I think. What do you think?

We've got a lot of players in their prime for their positions.

Grant, Keogh, Shotton, Forsyth, Bryson, Martin, Dawkins & Ward should all be in their prime or at least approaching it soon.

I think we have enough experience in the team there and the additions of talented youth players like Hughes, Christie, Ibe etc give us a great chance.

Ramnut, point taken. I think the 23 average was including Bamford and Wisdom. Seems like agood balance. Was quite upset at the disappearance of some excellt threads so decided to invent acouple as it was abit thin on the ground after hackthursday
