jagerbob Posted October 17, 2014 Share Posted October 17, 2014 Stimac played the roll, except when Mcgrath arrived for the end of the last season at the BBG Then McGrath did the sweeper position and Stimac played normal Centre half which I dont think he was anything like as good at. Not sure how Sweep would deal with a clearance off the line though, that one befuddles me, but I'd pay to see it. Just waiting for sausage Van Dyke to pop up..... Dimmu Posted October 17, 2014 Share Posted October 17, 2014 I used to play as a sweeper and I loved it. Best position to play, easily. In Serie A most of the teams are almost playing with sweeper, just few tactical twists. 3-5-2, stoppers man marking, one in defense line is free but not defending as deep as sweepers old days...
