I never realised how good this guy actually was until he put on a Scotland top. I knew he was decent but not this good. His ability to hold up the ball & control from lob balls is really impressive could of got a goal too of it wasn't for a great save from the Nigerian gk. Forsyth also looked decent very composed when he came on did his job! Already prefer him more than Whittaker! Young Andrew Robertson of Dundee united did very very well for a 19 year old in a senior game. We probably deserved a win but still promising with the likes of snoddy & Rhodes to return! Martin & Rhodes partnership maybe?

Martin is class mate.

Some Derby fans on here thought he was bang average when he was on loan at the end of the 2012/13 season and I could never understand why, I kept saying to my friends his touch is a joke it literally glues to his foot and his passing was quality, we just needed to get the ball to him in the right areas and he will score goals.

He upped his fitness (which granted he definitely needed to) and then started getting great supply to his feet from Forsyth on the left, Bryson through the middle and his finishing is probably the only thing that surprised me this year he has a great shot with both feet. Well you have to be decent at finishing to get 25 goals.

I think he has a great Scotland future ahead as he offers something different to the others strikers usually in the squad and can bring in to play the likes of Maloney, Anya, Morrison, Snodgrass and Naismith playing around him.

Give him the ball and it sticks to him like glue, it's beyond crazy. He's a leader at the top and a fine finisher. The "20 goal a season striker" of my dreams.

Hope he does it for Scotland, because it can only be good for his career. Just hope he gets the occasional international break off for his own fitness haha

I was one. There was no doubting his control and technical ability. You could fire a cannon ball at him and he would control it and lay it off. My issue was that he was a slow fatty. He still has room for improvement with his fitness.

He's still a slow fatty, and the deep-fried mars bars up north of the border won't help. However he's very conservative with his energy. I think we might have a better fitness regime for him next season but a big fat fatty is hard to defend against, lets face it...

Dunne and Onuoha didn't find it too difficult

On top of the above attributes described,  I always said, he has guile

I wasn't surprised at his performance over this season. Lets hope he continues where he left off next season...

He would have topped 30 goals this season if he'd been allowed more free kicks around the area. Took one against Bournemouth, scored in the top corner. That was it.

Never, never understood why we had Ward taking them all season and getting absolutely nowhere near the goal, apart from the lucky deflection v Charlton.

Bonkers.
