You know this "we are Premier League" ******.

Honestly, I know Jamie Redknapp told you it's the best league in the world but I don't think people pay for Sky Sports to watch WBA v Hull and Stoke On Trent v Sunderland.

Sorry, I know you think you're in with the big boys in some elite super league. But all you (and us) will ever do is float around and give Man City someone to play with before eventually slipping away again.

It's about enjoying what you can, making money and perhaps sneaking a Cup to get in Europe.

Bet we had more fun than you last season.

If this is true, which I doubt by the way, surely it would have to happen by tomorrow otherwise it ain't happening before the weekend cos Thorne will be in the U S of A

Beginning to think that it won't get completed before your lot go abroad anyway.

Clockwork I don't get which direction either. Can't be 1st team cos I can't imagine us letting go of any of our first 11, but then I can't imagine which of our prospects West Brom would be interested in? Baffled.

You would think that "Cash plus a make weight player" would be obviously how it would be if talking about a Two player deal..

so why did he say not sure on which direction?

just had a look on the WBA forum and all they've been doing is complaining about how they don't have enough depth and players to sell Thorne.. So it would have to be a derby player to balance the books.

Who's giving it "we are premier league" ?

We know we can't compete with the top teams, it's not a level playing field. We know as do the bottom 12 teams, first goal is to avoid relegation and any kind of cup run is a bonus. Qualifying for Europe would be a disaster for a team like WBA, too many games, too much travel and not a big enough squad.

And yes I did enjoy last season, not as much as the previous one I grant you, but I love football and hope I'll always enjoy watching it

I am completely fed up with this. Forest have signed Michael Mancienne in no time flat and have already made two quality signings while we are still farting around with our number 1 target and still need at least a striker! Sort it out!

Well he pulled two pieces of info out. One from nowhere. One the opposite of what was believed to be about to happen.

4 year contract for Hughes. Nobody guessed that. Nobody even spoke about Hughes' contract.

What? Steve Nicholson said we are in talks with Hughes and Bryson a week after Wembley.

 

And it was easy to predict 4 year contract for Hughes after Craig Forsyth's extension (the same legnth).

Have faith in the board! For god sake.. Forest sign a few decent players now it's have a go at the board because you haven't got your way with the time you want Thorne to be announced? I'm ashamed tbh... If I was a forest fan looking at this thread id be having a right laugh... Let the board do what they get paid to do! On that note.. I'm going to bed, and please people.. I thought a lot of this thread was joking about.

If people really are getting stressed... jeez.

It's mid July. Players are at their highest prices right now. Who knows what exchanges are being made between Derby and WBA. Who knows how many pies Derby have fingers in. Maybe none. Maybe ten

You'd have us rush out and pay top whack for numerous players? Great strategy.

Why don't you wait, see what we look like for the season and then see what we look like when the window closes. You have no idea what Derby are doing. How hard they are working. You can make that judgement when the season starts.

Maybe McClaren doesn't want ten new faces. Maybe he's happy with what he's got? Maybe he won't pay
