S75 Ram
Used to love the cobs at the Brunny, but last couple of visits (Leeds & Sheff Wed matches) they have run out of cheese & onion and the ham cobs we ended up buying were absolute rubbish. They used to be full of "proper" meat, but last time just had a poxy thin strip of plastic ham and were loaded up with butter - very unpleasant. I had to have a extra pint of Landlord to get rid of the taste Anyone else experienced this, or were we just unlucky ?

S75 Ram
Cheers for the replies guys, I will be eating at the Smithfield then this Saturday. They serve a decent pint of draught Bass in there, nice cobs, pork pies & £2.50 to park the car. Then on to the Brunny for a Timmy Taylors and meet up with the family. May Contain Nuts
Peterborough has the 2nd biggest beer festival, says my mate Gareth. Anyway, this thread doesn't surprise me. Not sure if their pre-match cobs are indicative of their other food, but when the new landlord doesn't rate the food at a pub that's recently won awards for it's food, well...! Still a fine pub, whatever the food situation.
