Derby County v Birmingham City

Think some of the ratings are a touch harsh.

I understand the gutting feeling but there only really looked like one winner and had Sammon took his chance that I think my dog could have finished then it would be deserved.

Brums plan was simple. Defend, hit Zigic, play off him for set pieces and a chance to get men forward without taking risks.

We weren't great but we created clear chances. Clear, clear chances. Need the players to take them otherwise it just makes the whole decent performance seem a bit meh.

We'll beat QPR.

Bit surprised about comments on Dawkins, I thought he already looked sharper than last week. We looked poorer once he went off. He gives us some width down the left. Thought his control and passing were both fine. His shooting was poor though.

He'll be a good player for us, I have no doubt about it.

and eddie thinks i'm crazy , Bucko was one of the better players , today..

Don't think you are crazy - just that you made the craziest - sorry, second-craziest - statement of the day.

Far from convinced by Dawkins yet.

Wisdom not a serious option at FB for me.

Hughes in and out.

Ward on the wrong flank.

Very drab performance against an 'orrible side that I would hate to have to watch every week.

Once again we get a little bubble of excitement, a few thou extra fans and expectation and we serve up an anticlimactic bag of ********. Not entirely our fault, but still, disappointing.

If Wisdom and Dawkins are all that Steve Mac with his extensive contacts can glean from the loan market, then I'm tempted to say that is good evidence for NC's point that it would be difficult to get better players in than what we've got already. Too early to judge, but not impressed at all yet.

Was anybody else a bit pissed off at how we were made to walk all the way round the ground at the end of the match if you sit in the south stand?

No, you need the exercise you fat bar stewards

I would've given my left nut to have a set-piece specialist in the mould of Idiakez in the team when we got that free kick on the edge of the box right at the end. Jacobs's tame effort rather summed up our day in my opinion, great opportunity but lack of final quality lead to a big fat anticlimax.
Still unbeaten under the new boss though so onwards and upwards, lets go give QPR the spanking that horrible club deserves!

Having watched the highlights, the goal was Wisdom's fault.

Finally, someone else has actually got it right. It is worrying that people are attacking our other players. Birmingham only did two things. They hit the bar from a corner, (which was to be expected) and scored from a Derby error. We did not deserve a draw.

Passes were great no denying that, but he just made a few silly unforced errors. Don't get me wrong, like the bloke but think he's a marked man tbh, with whitbread/wisdom/keogh

Not if he runs from an onside position.

So you're suggesting that a player of Wisdoms pedigree isn't better than what we have at the club right now? and regarding Maclarens contacts he's bought in a defender from a top premier league club who was playing for their first team recently and is England U21 captain, if that's not good enough for you who were you expecting???

I'd like to say Martin should learn that to win balls in the air you have to jump for them.

So jump! I saw their players win balls constantly with their headers against him.

Wisdom said he can play left back, I'd much rather have him at LB and Smith at RB with Whitbread and Buxton/Keogh at CB. I'm sorry but I really don't rate Forsyth. Can't tackle, can't cross, can't pass.. All he can do is head! And what's the deal with Forsyth being our man back from set pieces? The guys like 6,4 for gods sake, he's our tallest player! Forsyth out IMO

It's not about stats, pedigree, where he's from or who else he's played for - it's about what he does in a white shirt. Brayford was from Crewe and was brilliant. Wisdom's from Liverpool and England U21's and was poor.

Or ones that Nigel lined up but Sam was reluctant to sanction because of wages.

Wasn't the row on the coach coming back from forest supposedly triggered by nigel taking the p.....out of the loans which were being suggested to him.
