Not necessarily, I still see the sad old doleys hobble the 100 yards to the papershop to buy their copy of The Sun every morning as part of their sole daily exercise regime before they start on an excitement filled day of smoking/drinking cheap cider/gambling and watching ***** morning TV.

The closest there is to impartial news is BBC, all the papers are littered with writers who have there own agenda.

Probably true. It still has a slight left-wing bias though (IMO), the Guardian is reportedly the paper of choice in the corridors of the BBC.

A slightly different view from Paul Routledge in last weeks Mirror....

The BBC is part of the Establishment.

It is the Coalition at the microphone, irretrievably middle-class and middle-England.

From the snooty, disbelieving way its presenters treat Labour politicians, union leaders and anybody else who doesn’t support Operation Austerity, you can see they share the world-picture of the present Government.

Even the Beeb’s own governing Trust can see it, condemning a programme equating benefit claimants with scroungers as a breach of accuracy and impartiality rules.

Viewers were misled about unemployment and vacancies, tricked into believing there was a “healthy supply of jobs” for claimants interviewed. Get away!

Foreigners imagine the BBC is a model of impartiality and equity. Those of us who consume its products on a daily basis know better.

Peter Sissons most recently on his retirement (interesting interview if you haven't seen it) and plenty of other insiders have confirmed the BBC's modus operandi over the years. That and simply watching it confirm where the BBC lies. By all means, I think the BBC is wonderful and the least biased of all major broadcasters but to suggest it is centre or centre-right is approaching incredulity to me.
