Smiffy2491
Hi everyone, Long time reader, first time poster. Anyway the academies in the 5 major countries have been ranked in order of their ability to produce players for the top divisions. I am sad to say we are currently joint 335th with only one produced. But this is no negative post. With Hughes, Hendrick and Bennett amongst others coming through I'm sure we will start jumping up the table very soon. Just thought it was fairly interesting. Alph
Yep, the academy has been neglected but it's looking promising again.
PrivateDerby
Good find that. Looking forward to seeing more of Bennett once he's fully fit unless he already is? I know he's been on the bench.

sage
Who is the one player? Huddlestone? Yes, We are in a dip. There would have been others a few years ago, Carsley etc. It will rise again.
Animal is a Ram
It was scrapped not that long ago along with the reserves. It's only now that we're back into the swing of producing the players. It's a shame that we can't quite reach the top academy status, but its starting to give us a real edge now. It lost its momentum somewhat when Terry Westley left, but there's a tremendous amount of talent beginning to show through now.
Stimacked
Not entirely on topic but Mason Bennett bagged a couple of goals today in the Rams U21 league win over Sheff Wed. He is now starting to make an impact against U21 sides and this must be a good sign. Still only 16.

Other notable lookalikes we have produced from the academy are.... Giles barnes / linda lewis Tom huddlestone / mel b Will hughes / worzel gummidge
randombc
Like to see Bennett scoring 1 or 2 goals on a more regular basis for the Under 21's. I'd like to see him be a first team regular by the time he's
