ponderpatch
Travelling down to London this weekend for my 5 year anniversary with the girlfriend. Obviously the rams vs Leicester is top of the agenda. However a certain Manchester side are playing at the same time. Anyone know anywhere in westminster where the biggest game of the day will guaranteed to be on?
Animal is a Ram
I'd imagine most places will have the Manchester game on - but it might be a case of taking a walk around and seeing what's occuring.
EastKentRam
Or go to a big wetherspoons type place with multiple screens and hope they'll stick it on one of the screens for you.

Walkabout sometimes do something similar, whether there's one anywhere near though..

Asanovic
Hi mate The only place I can think of that will be a guarantee is the Sports Cafe on Haymarket - [url=http://www.thesportscafe.com/london/venue.aspx]http://www.thesportscafe.com/london/venue.aspx Only problem is, it'll be full of tourists, and the beer will be fairly ****. But, if it's got the game on, who cares eh? Central London isn't great for footy unfortunately. I live in South London and there are some pubs near me that will have it on, but probably not the kind of pubs that your Mrs will thank you for on an anniversary weekend. That said, if you're worried about being pressured into engagement, might be worth it to get some breathing space! I can PM you more if you need. Good luck. ramsbottom
Considering it's against Leicester and on Sky we'll get dicked so you're probably better not incurring your Mrs' wrath and take her for a walk in Hyde Park or something...
ponderpatch
Nice one, cheers. I'll give the sports cafe a go, she loves watching the rams, she just doesn't know it yet. As long as its on I don't care really and we'll be near Covent garden for after too. Well we're doing some winter Wonderland thing in Hyde park and then the London eye so she'll be pretty happy. Hopefully. Cheers lads

PrivateDerby
I had just about given up when we were last down there when I had a genius idea. We passed this Belgian boutique hotel complete with bar, so for a laugh I asked the porter if we could have a couple of drinks if we kept the noise down expecting a no, before we knew it we were sat down in a posh bar ordering wine, she was thrilled! On the way back from the toilet I asked a particularly stunning french speaking bar maid if the tele worked, she flicked it on and passed me a sky remote...... p*ss was I happy. Give it a try mate, especially if they're quiet.
