  1. Live scenes of a man fitting @Foreveram’s description atop a bus in Mansfield.
  2. Genuinely thought the emotion from yesterday had waned a little, then you mention Birds and I well up again. As part of his pre match routine my Grandpa would pop to Park Farm to run his errands and always went into Birds to buy my Nana a cream bun, clearly to stay in her good books while he was at the match and a couple of jars deep afterwards, the daft old sod. What a bloody good feeling it is to have that promotion secured for those of us still around and those watching from…somewhere else 🐏
  3. Anyone have another player down for man of the match? Sign him up….
  4. As someone who has engaged all season in dialogue and disagreement with people holding opposing views to my own I’d also argue “part of growing up” is letting things be and not goading people for the sake of it. It’s the day after we confirmed promotion to the championship after a rough few years, thousands of fans poured onto the pitch and into the streets of Derby to celebrate it, enjoy it for what it is, let those with entrenched views and constructive concerns enjoy it too, we can get back to bickering when the first athletic former Rotherham player is signed 😉
  5. Retaining Wildsmith, unless there’s a clear upgrade out there for free, makes a lot of sense. He’s a good age, has had a good season winning the golden glove, knows the club, knows the staff, and has a good relationship with Nelson, Cashin, Bradley and co. We’d keep two solid keepers and most of the defence together, which has been so strong this season, then we could focus on strengthening midfield and attacking players.
  6. I think it’s important to keep some of the experienced heads to continue the “culture” within the squad, Fozzy should be one. Probably someone who’d willingly accept a reduced role in the squad but as you rightly say can still come in and do a job if needed.
  7. Another old boy showing the club some love;
  8. Cashin and some of the lads having a sensible and respectable night….posted this around 3:30am 🤣 https://www.instagram.com/reel/C6Sf5z6CcpF/?igsh=MTkxb2F1bmF2dDlkdw==
  9. Aye, well said. Listening to the rams daily podcast on bbc sounds at the mo, it’s 70 mins long, first 20-30 mins includes Ed’s words at full time, comments from Eric Steele and Malcolm Christie then Dom right in amongst the chaos catching brief interviews with loads of the players and staff. Worth a listen if you have the time folks; https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0htlpw6
  10. Agree with those two, there’s a couple of others I’d like to see offered deals as well, overall I’d go with extending the following players’ contracts; Wildsmith Sibley Smith Thompson Robinson Barkhuizen Collins They’d give us some continuity and squad depth alongside those contracted beyond the summer, then we could add some shiny new players to strengthen further.
  11. Very much so, sounded like the crowd went flat after the first goal when Carlisle had a spell, but either side of that were in fine voice and the scenes at full time were unreal. Very jealous of everyone who was there today.
  12. I think we’ll see/hear confirmation of those extending deals and those leaving quite quickly. With our league status now confirmed, plans for next season can be firmly put in place.
  13. If we can compete with other interested sides for their signatures I’d be looking at the following; Herbie Kane - CM (25) at Barnsley, goals and assists at league one, one of their better players and could do a job for us as a younger option to the (likely) departing Hourihane. Josh Knight - CB (26) at Posh. A younger cb option than Bradley and Forsyth, thought he’s been decent when we’ve played them. OR Jordan Williams - CB (24) at Barnsley. As above, also captain at Barnsley so potentially a good leader at a good age. Harrison Burrows - LB (22) at Posh. One of their best players, would be a great first choice at Lb/lwb ahead of Elder. 6 Goals and 14 assists this season. Probably get signed by a club with better resource than us but you never know. There’ll be others too, maybe from the relegated champ sides (Oliver Rathbone from Rotherham is one I’m almost expecting to sign as a former Warne player). Hopefully the business we do is shrewd in building squad depth via free agents then what money we do have to spend can be used on the key players (Ebou Adams anyone?)
  14. I was only joking, I get the reasons he did it.
  15. Some repetition of his Sky and Ramstv comments here but worth a listen (if you’re someone who can tolerate his voice). Did make an interesting comment about the team will need to be torn up and start again, which may or may not be relevant. More than that were his heartfelt comments about his own father and Max Bird.
  16. We didn’t make the ref blow the whistle, he’s a bottle job, saw 30,000 rampant Rams lingering on the touchline and shat his pants
  17. Less likely now we’re back as a championship club! Man, I’m so happy 😁
  18. Cashin with a can of dark fruits in his hand…. @DarkFruitsRam7 that your doing?! 🤣
  19. Snap! Great scenes. Lovely interview with Bird post match, what a lad. Warne clearly shattered in his interview, and still honest with his assessment.
