Well the first half was decent... second half painful. Oh well, it's 3 points and we seem to keep finding ways to win games without particularly playing well. At the end of the day it's the points that matter. Personally think we need to find a couple of players (a winger and centre-mid) that can provide some pace, energy and strength to the team in the next couple of weeks. Another CF to provide Collo with some competition too if I'm being greedy. Onwards to Lincoln at the weekend! COYR 🐏

Also... noticed Blackpool have signed another LB/LWB in Hayden Coulson from Middlesbrough... maybe the rumour a couple of months back about us being interested in CJ Hamilton had some legs to it?

Burnley have recalled Michael Mellon from his loan spell at Morecambe (apparently to send him back out on loan to a team higher up the Football League)... one can hope!

I'm the biggest fan of his style of football, but 7 wins out of the last 10 suggests he at least knows something.

I think he and Palace parted ways partly because of his injury record and partly because he wanted a higher chance of senior football. He looks decent in the few games he's played... would like to see him play a few more games at that level before potentially putting him in with the 1st team though personally.

Not saying they should start every week, just that they could be a fairly low-risk gamble 😊

Squad depth/players with potential wise, I went to watch Curzon Ashton v Southport on Boxing Day (yes, I know... I'm weird) and they had a couple of players that looked to have potential to make a step up... these being Devon Matthews (CB) and Stefan Mols (CM). Both in their early 20s.

Ipswich have just signed another winger/AM on loan... Wonder if they'd let Marcus Harness go out on loan... Would be a good addition.

They've had more possession and more chances... but we should have been playing against 10 men for the last half hour which could have changed the game completely. Fuming...

Mendez-Laing for me. Fun to watch and by far the most goal contributions.

As an option up top, this lad seems to have a bit of everything... Tall. Good in the air. Good close control. Fairly quick. Good finisher. If we can get him for a reasonable price, could have good re-sale value too 🐏

The best we can hope for in January IMO... I think one of either Cash or Bird will have to be sacrificed to make a full-on promotion push. A front 3 of Mendez-Laing, Clarke-Harris and Blackett-Taylor... how much would it cost to have those on the back of a shirt?! 😃
