  1. Paul Warne is taking us up. It won’t be pretty. But this season will end in promotion. Guaranteed. There is too much crap in this league for us not to get over the line.
  2. We will win this. We won’t lose another league game until March when we are already in the top two.
  3. Probably wants the fair play trophy to keep him being relevant. It’s a shame he wasn’t so honest during his days at Real Madrid when he dived all the time.
  4. Overhead kicks and long-range goals are spectacular to watch. But they are largely flukes. Concentrate on getting good connection on the ball and hit it towards goal with power. Garnacho’s flew in the opposite top corner but you can’t say he was actually aiming there. It just happened to end up there. Saying it’s one of the best PL goals is a complete injustice to brilliant team moves and players who dribble past 6 defenders to score. Derby’s goals against Yeovil and Hull for instance were better than Garnacho’s goal.
  5. In the games I've seen them play, I don't understand what they are trying to do. It's like they haven't been coached at all, which is surprising given McClaren is there. They don't dominate the ball, and they don't counter press. They almost are content to play a counterattacking game, but what big team these days plays like that? They just get picked off by anyone with any quality. Interesting also that they have played nine bottom half sides and only four in the top half so far. They lost all four of those with an aggregate score of 11-2. Throw in the 3-0 defeat to Newcastle in the cup too. Five of their next six games are against top half sides - Chelsea, West Ham, Newcastle, Liverpool and Villa. They might get 4 points from the first two but they will lose to the others.
  6. It’s not often you see a 3-0 score-line and the losing side have actually dominated the game. United have been poor. A one in a 100 wonder goal, a penalty and a goal on the counter. That’s pretty much all they’ve had. United have a brilliant record against bottom sides and a dog awful record against the better sides. Flat track bullies.
  7. Alisson got away with one there. They judged Joelinton’s push was not a foul and this one was. They were both 70/30 the other way but I think to be deemed ‘obvious’ it probably has to be 80/20. I don’t understand why GKs have different protection rules. You would never judge that a foul on a defender or an attacker. But put one hand on a goalkeeper and it’s a foul.
  8. He always came across as a great guy. I just didn’t like the football we produced under him, and his drive to become a PL manager at the detriment of the club. I don’t blame him. If we’d reached the PL then we reap the rewards. But his recruitment strategy was an almighty risk and it was aimed at promotion or bust. We failed. Yet he moved on to a better prospect while leaving us to pick up the pieces. Which Mel then compounded as he fell in love with Lampard who was just a sexier version of Gary Rowett.
  9. If Southgate doesn’t fancy Gordon or Sterling then LW is a weak area too. Many people are either picking Foden out on the left which would limit his ability big time or picking Rashford who is hugely overrated.
  10. Pickford, Walker, Stones, Guehi, Chilwell, Rice, Bellingham, Foden, Gordon, Saka, Kane.
