  1. Jesus, what does PW have to do to gain any praise? Do you honestly feel CH was dropped because of criticism rather than Warne could see he had started to struggle and needed a rest from the starting eleven?
  2. Other than an elite few, there are supporters of pretty much every team who complain about the style of football their team plays. And like you I have doubts about Warne’s ability at Championship level, just as I did when he was appointed as manager. But after2 years of PW in charge, I’ve seen enough to think he’s a highly competent man who will steer us to at least a lower/mid table finish and put the platform in place for an eventual promotion challenge.
  3. It”s a well known fact that inconsistency (especially the consistent type) has always been the key to winning titles, cups and promotions. I will consistently be hoping for inconsistency next season.
  4. Know nothing about this kid but very happy to hear this. One of my concerns when PW became manager was that there would be less focus on the Academy and youth development in general (especially when Wassall left the club). This does not seem to have been the case at all.
  5. I have supported the mighty Rams since the early 1960’s (Tim Ward was our manager). We have had our fair share of brilliant/poor players but I think comparatively few “bad eggs”. I am always immensely proud when I hear any of our current squad being interviewed. They all seem to be very grounded and humble young men. Paul Warne, David Clowes etc also set a very fine example for them to follow.
  6. Well, call me totally unambitious but I’d absolutely love more of the same from PW next season. More “consistent inconsistency” and promotion to the PL via the automatics (with a 5 point leeway) would suit me just fine. Bring it on.
  7. Honestly feel PW has done an excellent job and some people do not give him the credit he thoroughly deserves. It’s only two years since we were on the verge of extinction and had been stripped back to just about nothing.Think Rosenior (for putting together the basis of the squad that got us up), DC (for having the courage of his convictions) and Warne deserve enormous credit. Don’t get me wrong. PW’s no Pep/Klopp but I honestly feel he is about the nearest we can get at our level. I was a Warne doubter when he joined but have slowly begun to realise what a fantastic football man he is.
  8. Treated myself to a hospitality package a couple of seasons ago. Met and spoke to Roy Mac, Roger Davies and Kevin Wilson. All more than happy to chat and came across as lovely characters.
  9. We already have Elder, Washington and Ward who seem to be injury prone. Rooney’s also returning from a serious (hopefully one off) injury. I know every signing is a risk but just don’t think it’s worth it with TJJ. It’s mot just last season but now several seasons where he seems to have been injured for significant periods. Massive shame as he obviously has talent, is still young and seems to be one of Warne’s “right types”.
