I pretty much agree with you, but think we have to look at sibley a bit as well. Has had a lot of chances over last few years now. Very rarely takes them. his best run so far has been at left back.

I know it’s not enough, but was really poor in both. Warne is under pressure. He can’t keep playing sibley and hoping for the best. Heard someone Saturday say they don’t think sibley ever had two good games in a row. He’s obviously talented but is a few managers now that are struggling to find how to play him. Is not all on warne.

Agree he’s not a wide player at all! Was really disappointing sibley had two games at 10 recently and was pretty anonymous in both.

I’m not a huge fan of warne, but do agree with a previous post who said they’d be very surprised if we were set up any different than on Saturday? A couple of changes shouldn’t make this much difference. I get a good coach should be able to counter things, but I do think we’re letting a lot of players off with some really rank performances.

Just always feels one step forwards two steps back lately!! not actually too fussed about losing tonight, but just some consistency and putting a run together would really help us. Now got 10 days until our next game, two games in four days and then another 10 days off. Not sure if this is a positive either.

I don’t think that’s the case, surely we’d at least be able to start the game with energy and then run out? Think we’re just inconsistent

Is there a timeframe on tjj yet? Looked good in the very brief times he’s played.

They’re all pretty similar formations, Saturday looked more like 433 to me. Hourihane and in the George Thorne role, two ahead of him playing further forward. Then a front three of two wingers and a central striker.

Like how he pretty much always tries to run at his man and get the ball in the box. Must be great to play with as a forward, you’d be happy making runs into the box. Carried us up the pitch a few times at crewe. Like the look of him so far.

Enjoyed today, felt we got better and better as the game went on. No one had a poor game, Collins looked good. Had some nice touches and goals always help. Cashin was excellent and probably our best player. Felt like we’ve simplified things. A lot of round pegs in round holes, everyone knowing their roles, pressed and attacked well. Defended well. let’s see if we can go on a decent run!

There is a point though as the membership guarantees you a ticket! I have no memebership so have to rely on it making to season ticket sales. Any ground under 2000 seems like no chance. So that’s the point in the membership.

Who we’re expecting to win the headers from all of these crosses is still a mystery. It’s not how I’d want us to play but if this was his plan surely we need a tall striker?

Nor me, was really struggling to see why he played the 90 minutes. Just move bird deeper and get another attacking player on.

Didn’t think today was great, full backs offered very little going forward. Much better with wing backs which is unusual. Still have issues with that midfield three, it’s too one paced, samey and defensive. If bird is the attacking mid he doesn’t get in the box enough. I know he scored two in the week. Just doesn’t look natural attacking. Is a real lack of goals through the team. Which is nothing new. we just seem to have more questions than answers all the time.

Yeah I’m happy to worry about players being good enough for the championship when we get promoted!! currently we have a fair number not pulling any trees up in league one
