Think this a good signing if it happens, today we had no plan b really. Going more direct and smith winning headers a decent option. We’re not going to play through midfield are we, at least this is someone to aim crosses at. didn’t have many options today, Thompson came on for barks but John Jules had to go wide. Need another striker

Played ok in parts without creating loads, our corners were horrible though. Taylor gave cash a tough time, looked decent. think a draw about fair, game showed why we need options. Hopefully Blackett-Taylor helps with that. Still fancy another striker on loan too.

Hopefully we can revisit this with an emphatic yes in a couple of hours!

We’re allowed to want the team to improve? No one is saying barks is awful, just don’t think been overly consistent lately. Was better than has been on Monday. Feel like some people on here view any even slight critique of a player is an attack on the player and club. The whole point of signing people is to improve the team.

Ladapo just gone to Charlton on loan, that’s a very good signing! Hopefully Blackett-Taylor is better than him.

I’d be much more open to paying £200k for a lad like this with potential than giving it in wages to another waghorn or Washington.

Being 22 changes it though, some people just mature and come of age as a player. Blackman was much older.

Think barkhuizen been off it for a while, definitely an area we can improve and at least add competition. By looks of him he adds goals to the team, pace too! contract stance can go both ways, can argue he’s about to be worth more than we pay just because we have him tied to a longer deal. equally transfers and fees a part of football, we need to not be scared of them. Learn from mistakes in past, use the experience to improve us. Is done now but we need to be able to sign players and do it confidently. Bradley was free but his wages probably high, is no different to this transfer to me. And Blackett Taylor has potential sell on value.

I thought our midfield in general was pretty non existent, didn’t think him or hourihane had good games.

I don’t want to do that to reading, hating people picking our players for nothing. I get is a business and someone else would if we don’t, it’s just not how I’d want to do things personally.

Yeah, I heard radio derby being very positive of burton on the way home. Personally thought we were just sloppy but they did punish us well. Don’t think burton offered much at all.

Dodged a bullet there, the midfield offers very little. Fair play to hourihane for the winner, but we have zero control of games. I think is by design, have no desire to play through midfield. It just looks horrible. Wilson was excellent again, Collins offering so much more this season. john Jules dissapointing, wanted him to start for a while but that was poor. Yet to see elder have a decent game as well. interesting couple of weeks ahead!

Smith a good option to bring off the bench as well if we need a goal, seem to naturally go more direct and more balls in the box later on. Often not sure who we’re aiming them at.

Yeah agree, don’t hugely rate smith but for how we play and balls in the box is great for league one. To get out of this division is all we need, worry about championship next year

I’d be happy with ladapo on loan for six months! Think can play wide or through the middle.

I do like the look of him, find it worrying how little he’s been played though. That needs to change pretty quickly.

I think it’s time to move on from bird, we’re playing in league one and he’s still not running games. Is a nice footballer with some good passing but not sure that’s enough.
