Found a shop at the bottom of my road called the Real Ale Shop and i was like a kid in a sweet shop. 7.4% good stuff if you ask me. Brewed by Marstons too. The White Stout was weird a bit hoppy for me but stout meant strong beer back in the day.I love Owd Rodger. Haven't seen it here in years though.

I cannot get my head around calling a beer "Black IPA" - when the bloody "P" stands for "Pale" - and I'm not criticising the taste or the look of the beer at all. I do like the style - nice and hoppy (not ridiculously so) with a fruity, citrusy twang (Cascade and Citra FTW), none of that burnt dark malt flavour of many of the stouts and porters - but can't someone please come up with a better name?
Beat me to it eddie. I thought it was supposed to be pale ale.

that's birds from bakewell for you. They don't have to have feathers either.She should take better care of them. There were two in bakewell that thought that they had not got ennough to eat and seemed pretty grouchy. -_-
