I love Owd Rodger. Haven't seen it here in years though.

Found a shop at the bottom of my road called the Real Ale Shop and i was like a kid in a sweet shop. 7.4% good stuff if you ask me. Brewed by Marstons too. The White Stout was weird a bit hoppy for me but stout meant strong beer back in the day.

I cannot get my head around calling a beer "Black IPA" - when the bloody "P" stands for "Pale" - and I'm not criticising the taste or the look of the beer at all. I do like the style - nice and hoppy (not ridiculously so) with a fruity, citrusy twang (Cascade and Citra FTW), none of that burnt dark malt flavour of many of the stouts and porters - but can't someone please come up with a better name?
