savage at DM while thorne and eustace sit on the bench?

Sav was definitely in there for me as a ‘favourite’ rather than a ‘best’. I remember being pitch level 2009 and the ball coming out to Ronaldo who was halfway through the classic double stepover when savage nailed him. The scarf and the forest game isn’t a bad memory either

  2. From my era, Best/ favourite XI:

                              Carson

                       Barker     Keogh
    Wisdom (loan spell)                     Cole

                             Savage

              Bryson                 Hughes

    Wilson              Martin                  Ward

honourable mentions: brayford, thorne, eustace, rasiak, Hulse, Howard, Buxton, Commons, Robinson, Russell, Bueno

    Worst/ least favourite XI:

                            Deeney

                     Davis          Albentosa

    Wisdom                              Roberts

    Fagan  Dowell Butterfield Camara

                   Varney    Sammon

Honourable mentions: Teale, Roos, Collins (harsh), Ledley, Doyle, Mears, Blackman, Griffin, Malcolm, Jozefzoon

  3. RE wing-backs, it’s a demanding position technically and physically so I always think specialists are harder to find and inevitably cost a bit more (fees + wages). If we’re going to be restricted by the EFL again then I’d prefer us to go with wingers who can adjust to play there rather than full-backs because at times this season I feel we’ve lacked a bit going forward when looking to create chances and wingers playing WB would hopefully help us out a bit in that regard. An example being Sibley who looked decent in that role when called upon.

Trade-off may mean the CBs we bring in need to have a bit more about them to make up for the defensive qualities our WBs may lack. CBs for me and a proper DM will be just as key as any new WBs assuming we play 3142/352.

  4. Why have we pulled Sibley off? We need a goal?

Daft from Davies, ball should’ve been in row Z rather than dribbled back to Wildsmith

But we’ve looked on top most of that half, better ball from Bird or bit more lift on McGoldrick’s effort and we could’ve had a couple. 45mins to save our season, it’s down to us! COME ON LADS!!🐏

They've put more pace on the pitch second half and they have outrun us.

Some of our players look dead on their feet.

I’m not even sure that’s due to tiredness. We have hourihane and bird playing next to each other and theyre too similar in that theyre not the most mobile imo. Leaves us at risk of just getting outrun which is happening here

  6. Whilst Rosenior/his team recruited well (with the exception of RB), i think we all agree results haven’t been great so I can’t understand why the statement can be seen as anything other than good news: we improve and make LR’s position permanent or continue with sub-par performances for a couple of months and change direction

  7. Feel some of the stick for collins is harsh, he battled well and got in good positions. If he does that every game and we provide the same service I’m sure he’ll start bagging.

Positives there for sure though! Bird and NML looked excellent and i thought we got the balance of being direct and when to play shorter/more patient much better. We play like that and start being more clinical we’ll have a great chance of being up there!?

I have no experience of this Brude, but just wishing you the very best in terms of both treatment and coping with the condition. Hopefully like the Rams, you will soon be on the way up.

Thanks very much mate, getting there slowly!

  9. Weird one, anyone on here ever had/know someone who has had Guillain-Barré syndrome? Rare condition that has affected me recently and was wondering if anyone else has any experience with it as specific details of recovery and rehabilitation process are hard to come by. I understand this is a longshot and whilst i  appreciate everyone is affected in different ways and has different recoveries with GBS, it would be interesting and -hopefully-encouraging to hear from other people about their experience. Cheers?
