  1. Some big gaps in our midfield at the moment, which is a bit concerning.
  2. What a start. Good header and positioning from Collins.
  3. Tough call for a manager. You can see why fresh legs could be advantageous, you can also see why he’d keep the same team. Warne’s gone for continuity and I hope it’s the right call. He’s certainly going to have to be on top of his game with the timing of subs to manage any fall off in fitness.
  4. Interesting data from Oryx in Avdiivka direction Russian losses: Ukrainian loses: Attacking force always takes heavier losses, unless it is steam rolling the other side, but those Russian loses are huge. 5. Is TJJ available for this one……when does his loan expire?
  6. Yep, all our successful teams at various levels have had these direct, pacey and exciting players, Wanchope, Dean Sturridge, Giles Barnes, NML, Russell/Ward, etc. They may not have been the top player in the team but they provided attacking spark. They make plenty of mistakes, but they can also open up defences with a moment of quality.
  7. As has been mentioned, we need quality and a striker is by far the most urgent position in need of improvement, followed by a winger. Problem is it’s a bad/expensive window to recruit the player you really want. Hopefully we have irons in the fire and Warne can pull out a gem. I do wonder if the loan market might offer us the best options for a reasonable price.
  8. Our delivery has improved dramatically in the last 10 games or so, before that we were aimlessly slinging crosses in. Now the quality has improved, people are slowly starting to realise we need a striker who knows how to be in the right place at the right time. To often we deliver a good cross into a dangerous area and no one is anywhere near it. A winger with a eye for goal would also help. If we can get that sort of player in, then we can really push on and start looking at being a leading contender for the autos. We’ve been able to win games whilst wasting a number of good opportunities so far, but we won’t be able to do that all season, without tripping ourselves up.
  9. Yes, but either way we’ll find out soon enough.
  10. Cheers LCR didn’t expect that, I’m going to go back and read the rest of your post now. I got to the end of the first sentence and stopped there.
  11. Glad you did and enjoyed it. Unfortunately I didn’t leave out of choice.
  12. Can’t believe I ended up missing the last 20 of that. What a result!
  13. Lovely work from TJJ finds Barks whose shot is deflected to Wilson and he hooks it over. Decent chance
  14. TJJ almost got Wilson in there, ball was just a bit too heavy
  15. HT Get Barks, Hourihane and Collins off for Sibs, TJJ and Thompson if he’s fit. And give them an absolute rollocking!
  16. Not sure why that wasn’t a foul on NML in the corner there.
  17. Foz put the ball back into the area there and put striker and left winger we’re miles away.
  18. Why are we arguing there……it was Collins with another idiotic decision to complete the set
  19. Good work from Wilson there after Barks gave him nothing to work with
