  1. Defensively, Wilson's making just as many tackles as Nyambe at RB (dribbled past a fraction more. He's also making more interceptions and commiting fewer fouls. The big difference is the number of crosses Nyambe blocks compared with Wilson (he blocks crosse 3 times more often). Given Smith's contribution in his 1 game at RB was lower than what we've seen from Ward there this season (although less liekly to give away penalties), I would be reuctatnt to use him there either. It's less about Wilson's attacking output being wasted and more about trying to stay as defensively solid as possible. It hasn't helped that we've relied on just Barkhuizen and Mendez-Laing on the wings for the past few games with no-one on the bench to freshen it up - a factor mitigated with the Blackett-Taylor signing. It'll hopefully be just 1 more game of Wilson at RB before Nyambe.
  2. Based on the effort he put in vs Bradford, especially defensively, I can't see him getting another start for a while
  3. Bradley pulled down in the box. Argued with the ref and is lucky to not get booked.
  4. 523/343. Sibley and Bird CM. Blackett-Taylor, Mendez-Laing and John-Jules the front 3
  5. Have we put John-Jules RW and Mendez-Laing CF?
  6. 1 down and we bring a CB and a wing back on 😅
  7. Good chance following a bit of battling away. Mendez-Laing scuffed his shot wide. And the inevitable offside... Hourihane this time
  8. Good play there. Elder showing he's going to be a great asset in the 2nd half of this season. Hourihane off the post
  9. Barkhuizen clattered the Reading player. Ref showing he isn't biased by not awarded a foul
  10. Bad touch from Cashin, Vickers couldn't hold on to a 28 yard effort, and a horrendous clearance from Hourihane. Need to be much better than this.
  11. Good play from Mendez-Laing and Elder. Elder arguably our best player in thr opening 30 minutes
  12. Another foul which went unpunished - on Collins this time
  13. Challenge on Hourihane's ankle wasn't even a foul. Should have been a yellow, possibly red
  14. Set pieces are much better than against Lincoln. Also worth remembering Button is a bit of a flapper at high balls.
  15. Reading effort off the post and kindly bounced out to Vickers... lucky escape
  16. Tight offside against Thompson who was 1 vs 1 with the keeper
  17. Good break. Barkhuizen couldn't find the right ball for Collins. Another cross from Barkhuizen to Collins - this time a bit high
  18. They save their club when Dai decides to sell or puts them into administration. There are a few problems with that... 1. Does Dai care about selling them? Or will he eventually put Reading into admin like he has done woth other clubs in the past? 2. The Club doesn't own their training ground or stadium. 3. The Club is £100m in debt (predominantly to Dai) Even if someone bought them out of admin (probable cost around £15m), Dai would still demand at least £30m for the stadium and training ground. Admin would also make them a L2 club. Reading need a local businessman to step up. No one without an attachment to Reading will buy them in their current state, so their fans pitch invading isn't going to make any difference.
  19. Keilan Robinson played LCB. JThompson Oduroh Bartley KRobinson Moloney Hawkins Fapetu McAndrew Weston Nto Wheeldon
  20. Still playing in the PL2. This is essentially a reserve league
  21. I think the confusion is the 'joint administration' bit. For the benefit of those who don't know what this means, this is when the administrotrs handle multiple (related) administrations together for convenience (efficiency and reduced admin costs). Creditors are all managed collectively but registered seperately, however, each individual company is still treated as its own legal entity.
