  1. Bird MOTM for me, cleaned up the counter and set the attack off. Had a good game positioning been really good.
  2. Sercombe having a jolly old time out there in that midfield, trying out all this shot selection.
  3. He's got no excuses with the squad he has in this league, i'd much prefer a young progressive manager. Should be scoring for fun with the quality on hand.
  4. CBT checking his contract at HT for a 7 day changed my mind clause.
  5. Absolutely grim, form completely gone. Pattern of play is truly depressing.
  6. Wouldn't be surprised if he did reject a new contract, this style of football has been a disaster for him career wise.
  7. Unreal, surreal and the best header i've ever seen from a corner.
  8. Always be fondly remembered here, proper leader.
  9. I get that but it's hardly like Collins is dining out on quality service is it?
  10. Atlas is senile, I find it hard to follow some of his chat sometimes because it just comes off as generalised rambling and he doesn't follow fights in the UK. This is the same guy that pulled a gun on Mike Tyson, he's always been a bit off in the head. His predictions are notoriuosly bad for years, people laugh about him on forums. Here's his last AJ pick: If AJ is chinny then Fury must be the Amir Khan of heavyweights. The criticism isn't equal, saying if a huge heavyweight with power hits someone on the chin they could go down is like saying if I shoot you in the head with a gun you'll probably die. Ngannou didn't even hit Fury on the chin, grazed top of his head like Wilder did and put him down.
  11. I'm not even bothered about signing this guy anyway, just a clogger that was at Rovrum when we used to batter them in my mind. Remember Warne's side coming to PP and losing 6-1 with Smith on bench.
  12. Back to trawling squad lists for crap rumours for them.
  13. Never seen him play but sometimes you get lucky and reel in a gem.
  14. Remember when we had chat about aligning play style through the age groups then we could hire managers that match the philosophy? Seems like another life now.
  15. Ipswich play a very high press and the midfielders are trusted to carry, they can win games different ways. That works at any level.
  16. I've never not considered that. Loads of hindsight in football and it's never as straight forward as you think it is. Just my personal judgement at the time was to keep LR, he would prob have needed a bit of time to get fully going but then again Warne didn't exactly hit the ground running? If we end up third season in L1 with Warne do we all agree it's a failure or do people still give him even more grace?
  17. Not even sure what your point is here, I wasn't impressed with Warne no. Wanted Rosenoir to stay on don't care what other people thought. I never said Rosenoir was permanent manager but he was the manager, let go/told not required/sacked whatever it's semantics.
  18. Clowes has shown he isn't one to pull the trigger at first sign of panic yet didn't really give Rosenoir a fair crack, not very fair to the guy after all that happened is it? I get that Warne was available which probably changed his thinking. As for the 4 away games not scoring that isn't really a fair representation of the situation is it? We drew the Fleetwood and Shrewsbury games and when Warne came in our form dropped overall. We lost to Plymouth at home who went on to get promoted and the week before Rosenoir got released/sacked/sent to coventry we beat Wycombe 2-1 at home. Warne: Rosenoir tenure same season:
  19. Semantics really, LR didn't have a full time contract because of the state of the club so they just kept a verbal rolling agreement. He was still the man in charge and would have had every reason to expect he'd at least have a chance of getting full time contract. Didn't think he was ready for the challenge? After winning us way more points than anyone believed was possible with a completely stripped bare squad and a massive points deduction?
  20. It'll be Smith when it gets to final day and Weds don't want him sitting around costing money.
  21. We look at Hull's squad with envy now but the top 6 in the Champ is about as competitive as it gets, he's doing a good job there up against some big clubs with massive budgets. That is league is a big shift up in quality level from L1, Ipswich done well because they play good passing football with a high press and high energy levels. Invested a lot of money in that squad as well.
  22. Every pass or cross sent in his direction tonight was nowhere near him or they read it like a book, prime Ronaldo could have been up there tonight would have made shag all difference.
