  1. We had no idea this was happening and didn’t see it on the screens
  2. Congratulations on your team’s promotion. Thank you so much for your sporting support for B4 and the team that meant so much to. Fingers, toes and @Mucker1884’s ballions crossed for the perfect end to the season 🎈
  3. One of the first things I posted on the forum said ‘I’m keeping Daniel’s seat warm for him’. I can’t remember who replied but their response was ‘No need. He never sat on it’. I once heard and felt a sonic boom, pretty sure that’s what the B4 bounce is going to be like later 🐏🐏🐏 🔊🔊🔊
  4. Cash is worth another zero on that price
  5. Mel Morris used to own my house. The first owner when it was built in 1980 was Dave Swindlehurst.
  6. Does Muckerette do balloon animals?
  7. He would be adamant (not the Prince Charming version) that the Rams are going up. He wouldn’t hear anything to the contrary. He would also look like the a DCFC Michelin man with numerous layers of scraves and flanges. I will be taking one of his scraves with me tomorrow. Typing this has made me a bit sad. I would often buy Dan DCFC hats, scraves, hoodies etc for Christmas so he would be warm at matches. His favourite hat I gave him had a leather DCFC badge on the front. My dad told me he couldn’t find it before a match one day and was so upset he thought he had lost. It turned up at home a couple of days later. These memories tug at the heart strings.
  8. I finished reading A Ladder to the Sky by John Boyne on Tuesday. Gore Vidal made a cameo in that.
  9. Book club was tonight. Every liked Queen of Dirt Island and wanted to read more Donal Ryan. I tend to leave it a while before reading a second book by the same author. I’m about to start Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt. The book club picks for the next few months are: May Erebus - Michael Palin Remarkably Bright Creatures - Shelby Van Pelt June Waterlog - Roger Deakin Good Behaviour- Molly Keane July Yellowface- R.F. Kuang The Women at Hitler’s Table - Rosella Postorino
  10. My favourite prank, again on poor Jackie, was at Christmas about ten years ago. Her daughter and I put a Christmas card addressed to her through the door. We wrote a message along the lines of ‘ it was lovely to see you recently. You are very kind to invite us for dinner on Boxing Day, we are really looking forward to it’ Signed off as Cyril and Edna. No idea how we kept a straight face. Jackie was going mental thinking two strangers were going to turn up at the house expecting to be fed 😂😂😂
  11. I have had a prank backfire this morning and I thought you lovely lot would appreciate a good laugh. My friend and I love winding up her mum, Jackie. Last week I saw a postal prank that made me laugh, so I promptly ordered it for our Jackie. There must have been an address mix up and it landed on my doorstep. I work from home and see our postman all the time, goodness knows what he thinks 🤣🤣🤣 Tell me about epic pranks you have pulled off, or failed to. I need some more inspiration 😂
  12. I’ve just nominated Dan. Nominations close 6pm Tuesday
  13. @Archied Forum regulars will know that for some of us there is more riding on Saturday than securing the points for promotion. It feels very much a tribute to those who aren’t here who have stuck with DCFC through thick and thin. I’m really excited as I haven’t seen a DCFC promotion. When I last held a season ticket Derby were in the Premier League. I can’t imagine just how excited Daniel would be right now, but I bet he would be saying “I told you they would do it” I’ll be thinking of you and your dad on Saturday ❤️🐏
  14. That looks good. He definitely would have approved
  15. I’d love to go on the pitch to have a moment to celebrate. I think the draw to do so is to be part of the ‘we’ that is always referred to. No seats and stairs in the way of celebrating with everyone around and being able to stand on the turf where promotion was won. I sit up right at the top of the upper stand so there’s probably zero chance I would be even get near the pitch anyway 😂 But I can guarantee B4 will be there on the pitch 😉
  16. I can’t see any food pairing guidance on the website but I imagine this is would be the guidance for cider: White lightening - serve warm with a couple of roll ups, alfresco park bench dining optional Dark fruits - serve cool but slightly watered down in crowded establishments with soggy chips and a luke warm burger with one piece of lettuce Asquith - served in a glass filled with unnecessary ice. Accompanied by a scotch egg with a perfectly cooked yolk, or a warm sausage roll.
  17. Here’s my dad and with Daniel’s award. My dad was very put out he was made to look 3 feet tall next to Sonny Bradley 😂
  18. Should have asked him what aftershave it was. He’s my favourite person today
  19. Dear Derby County, As this sporting extravaganza falls around the time one consumes luncheon, would you please be kind enough to ensure the cuisine’s temperature is above the usual tepid level. One needs sustenance to soak up a couple of pints of dark fruits. Yours sincerely
  20. There was indeed. Big cheer when someone shouted Bolton are losing at half time
  21. The 50+ steps to the top of there are already a killer. Especially after the half-time trip to the bar 😂
