  1. My dad came close to tearing up a few times but it didn’t feel sad. It was very much a celebration. I have my moments but I’m very much a glass half full person. I was joking about what Daniel would have been saying to all the players. Our table was laughing about Nick Blackman turning up in the pink kit with Dan’s award 😂 It was a lovely night.
  2. Didn’t say so. Would be good to see him play before he leaves though
  3. But the most important question we all want to know the answer to… Does Mendez-Laing actually have a massive wang??? NML says he does 🤣
  4. Lovely to see you @angieram Had so much fun 🤩
  5. Straight from the horses/footballers mouths: Wildsmith was asked about rumours of him leaving Derby. He has not yet been offered a new contract. Ebou and his missus are absolutely loving everything about Derby. He said there are several things that need to fall into place about signing but seemed positive. He is the loveliest down to earth person. Didn’t stop smiling all night. If we need to forcefully restrain him to keep him here count me in! He doesn’t mind the Ebou chant sounding like booing. Dwight Gayle is recovering well and hoping to be back next week. Max Bird still very much focused on the next too games, despite moving on. Nathaniel Mendez-Laing smells very nice
  6. What a brilliant night! Dan (B4) and Angie Vallance received the Alfreton supporters award. I almost missed it as I was in the loo 😂 the glass award is lovely and will have pride of place in my parents house. The players looked visibly touched when it was announced Dan and Angie were being awarded posthumously. It was lovely to see so over 200 people there to celebrate DCFC and those who love the club. I had no idea what to expect but it was amazing. Lovely food and company. I had no idea the players and David Clowes would be there, so that was a lovely surprise.
  7. A massive thank you to everyone who has wished Daniel a happy birthday, promoted his birthday fundraising, generously donated, and kept Daniel’s memory going. You have raised around £500, taking the total up over £1100. The first birthday without Daniel being here was very hard for the whole family but my parents have asked me to let you know that on the donations and well wishes helped make the day easier for them. They are genuinely overwhelmed by your generosity. I sometimes feel that I might be banging on about losing Dan too much on this forum but all the kindness you guys have shown has helped me through the hardest time of my life and is appreciated more than you will ever know. Thank you again. Let’s all keep a bit of B4 positivity going in all aspects of life as well as the football 💖 #BeMoreB4
  8. I used to be a PA to a Bishop, I’ll forgive your sins on the big man’s behalf and cc him in 😂
  9. You lot did an amazing job. There will be some very happy dogs and cats 💖
  10. Oh my goodness 🥲 That’s amazing. Can’t thank you all enough ❤️ my friend and I have just been to Pride Park to raise a can for Dan by his memorial brick and came to back to this amazing news. You guys are awesome ⚽️🐏⚽️🎉🎉🎉
  11. Daniel would have been crying about my decorating. I painted the room pink 😱
  12. I’m crying into my primer while painting my skirting boards. Dan would never have believed people would be so generous on his behalf. Thank you so much everyone 💖
  13. Happy Birthday Daniel. Will be having a drink for you tonight. Fingers crossed for a birthday win tomorrow 🎉🐏💖🎂
  14. It’s Daniel’s birthday tomorrow. I will be buying a cake later. Dan loved cake. Even though he isn’t here, there should always be cake on birthdays. I wanted to do something to mark Dan’s birthday and wondered if we could give the RSPCA a birthday boost? I wouldn’t expect people to give much as so much money was raised already. Just £1 from a handful of us would help towards costs. What do you think? https://danielbeavis.muchloved.com
  15. He would be saying that @Anag Ram 🐏
  16. I’ve got visions of him as Snape chanting the spell at Quidditch but at Pride Park 😂
  17. @ketteringram Just bought The Lighthouse Sisters. It was only 99p on kindle
