  1. Genuinely flabbergasted that Wildsmith would choose that option in the second minute of a game against a promotion rival.
  2. I’ve no issue with being wrong (in fact, my wife would say I’ve mastered the skill! 😆!). My original post was in the spirit of pettiness demonstrated by yet another of Roy’s nauseous digs at the manager. It’s as if our recent upturn in form is in spite of Warne, not in any small part because of him and his coaching staff! Fair play, Roy’s clearly a principled man - the Margaret Thatcher of the forum if you will (not for turning!). His posts though often seem a deliberate attempt at seeking a reaction. Yet. when people respond and challenge they are often met with a lecture on how unpleasant and lacking introspection they are!
  3. Barring any unreported knocks from Wigan or between now and Friday I’d expect an unchanged starting eleven. Bench of Vickers, Ward, Bradley (if his nose isn’t in bits), Elder, Tommo, Sibley, TJJ.
  4. I think he returns to Arsenal with our thanks and best wishes. I hope he can prove his fitness, as he undoubtedly has the technical ability. I don’t see that we can take the risk while pushing for promotion though, unfortunately. I wish him well.
  5. Upset? We’ve not met have we Roy 😆? I’m not that brittle, though accept not everyone is as robust. You’re excellent at playing the man and not the ball though, i’ll give you that! Unpleasant….🙄.
  6. This^. NML has been back to the form that excited me so much last season before his levels dropped off. Save for his first 2 games Nelson’s standards have been consistently high. He’s developed really strong relationships with both Cash and Nyambe. Strains everything to win the ball or disrupt play and his decision-making has been more or less spot on. Must fill Wildsmith with confidence having Curtis in front of him.
  7. And there it is. The rinse and repeat response. Easier to pull out the classic ‘opinion’’ (opinions are open to change when new evidence is considered), or the ‘it’s you not me’ responses than even consider engaging in a discussion. It’s all a bit schoolyard Roy. But then again, I’m probably beneath your intellect and unworthy (it’s me not you!), so good day to you, Sir!
  8. Then why the chippy comment? You seem to actively revel in Warne’s team’s failures, then all but disappear during the successes, save for making the occasional cheap point. We’ve been top of the L1 form table for the last 10 game’s averaging 2.5 points per game. Yes, tricky games ahead which will test our promotion aspirations, but come on!
  9. Must be awful for you that that’s the way Warne wants us to play Roy, and that we’re have a modicum of success with him overseeing it? my first away day for many years yesterday after health issues scuppered my trip to Crewe, and it was thoroughly enjoyable. Here’s hoping to a few more over the rest of the season!
  10. https://www.civicx.com/forum/attachments/8fdf4abc-fce6-412a-b80a-7ad23bf244de-gif.364561/ Here's to a fruitful 2024. COYR!
  11. Given the pre-match news I’ll swap Barks for NML otherwise I think Nyambe will be fit to start and when he is subbed we’ll go to a 3
  12. Wildsmith Nyambe Nelson Cashin Foz Bird Wilson Hourihane NML Sibley Collins
  13. Before an extended absence because of kids I was an East Stand Upper ST holder and we could always get a decent song going, even sitting down!
  14. Oi, I’ve paid for that strip of plastic, so I’m damn well using it!
  15. For about 60 minutes on Thursday I could feel myself sitting arms folded, cross-legged and I suspect with a face like I was sucking a lemon! When I met my pal on the concourse after we just shrugged at each other. I feel like I’m living off scraps of what this team is capable of - the 3 nice little triangles on the left edge of Lincoln’s box in the first half, seeing Wilson do his stuff. I didn’t even jump out of my seat when he scored the second though. Yes we’re winning and that’s what will get us promoted, but Christ it’s a hard watch a lot of the time!
  16. Not the first time Sonny Bradley would have got caught in No Man’s Land!!
  17. Completely this. If he’s going to take half a season to start one wonders whether we should be taking the risk in January? He looks like a talent and appreciate he’s Arsenal’s player, but he’s here to do a job for us. Unless he’s played 3-4 games of 60 mins plus in the next month I’d be very concerned about allocating any of January’s budget on him.
