AmericanRam
I as others was very disappointed with today's efforts. We just did not play that well, and again hard time breaking down teams that sit back like Wigan did. Is that down to coaching, or just players not being creative enough? Not really sure. Anyway, as I said cannot go without a loss forever and I for one am confident the way we played today will be very few and far between. With that being said, what are the most obvious things we need to work on in training everyone thinks? We are still best team in the league on our day, regardless if we showed that this day or not. Thoughts?

RLACML
It wasn't that we struggled to break down Wigan today, I think that's being pretty insulting to their performance. They were all over us I only saw the second half but I gather that the first was as bad if not worse. I said at the time that the Reading performance was poor, and we were ok midweek. Before that Millwall and Bournemouth weren't great either. I believe we are the best team in the league but I don't think we are playing great football at the moment. Hoping that today is a wake up call.

AmericanRam
Good points, mainly just meant it we seemed we had no idea on how to attack against them. Thorne
That isn't the point. I don't really get the statement 'Can't go without a loss forever'. It's not good to use in the context of today's game. Wigan hadn't won in 8, hadn't won an away game all season and had only scored eleven goals all season. Purely on form it should have been a winnable game, Rolser made 5 changes and changed the formation as well so weren't a settled team. Wigan always do us in though. The referee and linesman were all poor. Don't want to be negative but apart from Russell, Keogh and Butland every player had a poor game. Teams have come to the IPro this season trying to shut us down, and against teams like Millwall it worked. Against Wigan we were outplayed. Alph
You've taken all the negatives from Wigan's season. They're unbeaten in 5? 3 clean sheets. Be fair. They were better and they won.

AmericanRam
They didn't sit back. Far from it. Yes, my bad when wording that. Really meant that we absolutely could not attack against them at all for the most part.

Because they closed us down. Worked their nuts off Got stuck into us. Played at a pace we couldn't match. They bust a gut, whilst we trotted about and got battered. Having said that we had the chances to go 2-0 up and we had 20 minutes at the start of the 2nd half to win it.

Thorne
Do people think teams seem to be much more effective at stopping us from playing our game? That said we lost today because Wigan were the better team.
