Ok... it's just your original post said "then he's available on loan, and we haven't gone for him."

To me, that sounded like you were stating fact.

That's two mistakes you've helped me to correct today Bristol Ram. I'll try not to make the third.

We'd never have got Sharp even if we had come in for him - Forest have probably paid a loan fee bigger than what we would spend on a permanent signing and they are most likely paying his full Premiership wages. He's far better than anything we've got up front but would never have been on our radar sadly.

DERBY County are still keen to take a look at young striker Sean Maguire, who plays for Irish club Waterford United.

The 18-year-old is expected to spend a trial period with the Rams, possibly the week after next.

He was due over this week but Waterford had to rearrange an FAI Cup tie so Maguire, who has scored 11 goals this season, was unable to travel.

"We are still trying to get him over for a few days' training, if we can," said Rams manager Nigel Clough.

Waterford were due to play Mervue United in a third-round tie a week ago but that was called off because of a waterlogged pitch.

Peterborough United, Charlton Athletic and Brighton have all shown an interest in Maguire.

Derby are still keeping an eye on 19-year-old striker Marc McNulty, who plays for Livingston in the Scottish First Division.

The Rams have been to watch him since his trial spell, when he impressed and scored in a pre-season friendly against Matlock Town.
