With Ward and Hendrick out, we could play Bailey or Coutts in the middle with Bryson, with Hughes or Bavies out wide. Jacobs will be given a start on the left, and I could see Mason Bennett starting up front. I can't see Clough taking this one for granted. Last season, the Shrewsbury game came in the middle of a block of about five games in three weeks, so it made sense to rest a few players, but this game will be treated as a warm-up for the start of the season. I mean, have a good laugh if you want, but you're basically lying to make Clough look like he's against foreigners, and personally I think that's going a touch too far for a cheap laugh. They have lots of Hendricks, but no Greens. Whether you need a Green is up for debate but I guess that's the logic behind it.
