ladyram
My girlfriends grandad has been a rams fan for most of his life , he is now 88 years old and went to his first match in 1933 with his father, he has held a season ticket every year since 1944 and has hardly missed a home game. Do the club have a way of celebrating this by a pitch walk on for him or a mention or something? I know this would make him a very happy man and would secure him as a fan a few more years! :-) Wow, a fan all these years, good for him! 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> I'm sure if you got in touch with the club they'll try to sort something out, they're usually good for this type of thing. You could also write a dedication down and the tannoy guy will read it out, the last I knew this cost a tenner. Let us know what they say.
Brammie Steve
What a fantastic achievement. I don't have anything to add to all the brilliant suggestions already made. I will only add that the club will surely do all they can to mark his loyalty. I should think he'll become a fan for life as a result! My own opinion is that they will do more than you expect out of gratitude and for the sake of good PR. Hope you manage to keep it a surprise but if he suspects then tell him the whole plan. Steve's "For those of you watching in black and white, the yellow is behind the blue" moment.
